NASA Astrobiology | There Are No Clouds Like Venus Clouds: The DAVINCI Mission with Dr. Jessica Noviello @nasaastrobiology | Uploaded December 2023 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Our guest is Dr. Jessica Noviello, a planetary scientist working at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. Her current research work includes modeling the interior structure and composition of ultra-short period exoplanets; studying the extent of cryovolcanism on Pluto’s largest moon, Charon; and detecting signs of life (called biosignatures) on distant exoplanets. She also leads the Professional Advancement Workshop Series (PAWS), designed for early career NASA scientists as a part of the NASA Astrobiology Program, as well as serving as a volunteer on multiple committees and organizations. Her past research has included work on asteroids, Jupiter’s icy moon Europa, a balloon mission concept to Venus, and the geophysics and geochemistry of the Kuiper belt object Haumea.
