It's probably impossible to have grown up in the evangelical community without hearing the SOMEBODY say "there are no atheists in foxholes." Of the "Dumb Things People Say to Atheists," this is one of the ones I'd guess a casual non-apologetics-focused Christian is likely to have heard around church, and it's by far the most figurative. This is a bad combination - because the last thing you need running rampant through any community is an ambiguous insult against outsiders. In this video, I explore the problems with the ambiguity in this phrase, the various insinuations it can carry, and how we can address them with believers.
