Valley’s art draws inspiration from German expressionists like George Grosz and Otto Dix, whose anti-fascist works were condemned in the Nazis' infamous 1937 Exhibition of Degenerate Art. Through a distinctly American lens, he fuses that legacy with the visual chaos of early Yiddish cartoons and the anarchic spirit of MAD Magazine, producing a furious, darkly funny indictment of our political moment.
