Story:

Maki and Kaito were childhood friends. Kaito lives with his grandparents while Maki is adopted.

Kaito wants to become an astronaut where his grandparents support him, unforetunately his grandparents died, and by that time, Kaito's dream shattered together with his friendship with Maki. All the memories they built together will just stay as memory forever. He left their hometown to study, provided by his other relative. Maki was left alone until they got older.

One afternoon, Maki was peacefully driving home when a motorcycle overtook her car that caused her car to an accident. A concerned citizen passing by noticed the accident and saved Maki, shockingly, it was Kaito, but Maki's consciousness were hazy. She thought it was only her imagination.

Kaito, seeing his childhood friend made him happy but he did not expect to see her on that situation. He wants to stay at Maki's side but he has works to do, so he left Maki healing at the hospital.

The accident caused Maki to be blind. She's depressed by the fact that she cannot see anything, or she could but she couldnt see things clearly.

Kaito was done with his mission as a soldier, so he went to where Maki is confined. He was trying to introduce himself again after many years. Maki was hesitant to trust him, especially right now that she's blind, but she can feel his sincerity. Maki's foster parents were dead years before. Maki lives alone now.

Kaito offered to take care of Maki, which Maki agreed. Even though Maki is still stressed with her situation, she found a new hope and sight with Kaito. Kaito treats her normally and naturally guides her whenever she needs assistance.

No longer, Kaito received another mission. He left Maki with his friend Shuichi and Shuichi's giRlFrIeNd, Kaede :P. Maki feels comfortable with them but no one would ever replace Kaito inside her heart. Deny it or not, she's falling for Kaito. (ahdkwieidbskiwhwksjsbsbsbsb fangirl screaming intensifies)


One day, Maki overheard Shuichi and Kaede talking to someone on a phone. Maki heard "Kaito" and "Dead" in one sentence, that gives her so much despair. (is junko the one calling? Jk 👁️👄👁️)

They also told her that there is someone who's willing to give an eye for her eye transplant. She was glad but sad at the same time. She was still hoping deep inside her heart that Kaito is still alive. Maki will meet Kaito again.

Days ago, Kaito and his comrades were retreating from an attack when he suddenly noticed their leader, wounded and losing consciousness. Kaito tried to push Kokichi away from an incoming attack.

Kokichi said that his death is near. Whatever Kaito says will just be useless because their leader is stubborn 👀 and knows what's the best for himself and for the people around him. Kokichi willingly donates his eye for Kaito's tsundere girlfriend. (kokichi fangirls pls dont attack me 👁️👄👁️)

Kaito and his squad retreated, assisting Kokichi's wounded body. Most of them didn't make it alive. Kaito's determination to see Maki again and to make her see again is his will to live longer and fight for his life.

Maki's eye operation was a success. Maki and Kaito got married and live a happy life with their son and daughter. THE ENDDDDD
