We decided to do something fun to celebrate Halloween at Zipwhip. We have a milling machine since we've whipped up some custom circuit boards in the past to showcase our text messaging API. We figured why not mill out our logo on a pumpkin. It took about 25 minutes of milling with a 20 degree PCB milling bit. The milling was about 8 layers at 0.5mm per layer. Looks pretty good. The CNC machine was a Shapeoko designed by the amazing Edward Ford. The controller for the machine is the TinyG. We used makercam.com for importing our SVG logo and creating the G-Code for the pocket operation. We used Will Winder's Universal G-Code Sender that we tweaked for the TinyG to send the commands.
