My friends, the Red Star Theory is an ancient theory about the aliens or ghosts in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The game is full of strange imagery, unanswered questions, and unsettling moments, and few are as eerie as the “ghosts” or “aliens” that appear in Romani Ranch. For years, fans have speculated about their origins, including a theory that they may actually come from one of the red stars visible in Termina’s night sky.
In this video, I revisit that theory as it was discussed on an old Zelda Dungeon podcast, break down the evidence that once made it seem plausible, and then take a closer look at the game’s visuals, dialogue, and what happens if and when you defeat these ghosts.
