Style boxes are a popular TikTok business where fashion-savvy thrifters source clothing for your size and style and send you new outfits. But if you have trouble finding clothing, and especially if you’re plus size, please don’t think anyone else has access to a magic thrift store or that you could pay them enough to truly put the effort required into finding your size and style.
This box cost $125, took 10+ months and not a single item went together or looked like anything anywhere close to what I asked for (warm weather clothing) or showed on my Pinterest board as my personal style (bright fun patterns, flowy boho, bold, saturated colors).
It’s a lovely dream to be able to have a curated box of lovely things delivered to your door that are picked just for you…. But not a reality. Don’t waste your money (and I’ve done so from multiple vendors at this point.) - unfortunately clothing shopping is something you really have to do for yourself.
I won’t be sharing the creator who made this box. She has done lovely work for others, but I doubt she’d want to be associated with this one and likely just got busy or gave up. Plus size thrifting is hard. I get it. I just wish I hadn’t gotten so excited for this one.
