Apple sent out a notification you NEVER want to receive.

A small number of iPhone users recently got a notification that would terrify anyone that received it, telling them they were the victim of "mercenary spyware". It doesn't tell them if the hack was successful or not, but the fact they were targeted is a big deal. Usually this kind of advanced spyware is only used by state-sponsored actors, aka governments.
