I am happy to report that not only have I finally read Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell but it has become an absolute favorite of mine! This book and the related short story collection, The Ladies of Grace Adieu, are my first two 5 ⭐️ reads of the year. Naturally, I had a lot of thoughts that I needed to share and here they are! Please let me know down in the comments if you have read JS&MN or are a fellow fan! It should be no surprise that Susanna Clarke is now a favorite author.
