Hieronymus Bosch, (c. 1450 - August 9, 1516) was a Dutch painter of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
His work has always fascinated me. The attention to detail, and what details they are, is jaw dropping. I always wondered if he tried to mock religion and painted the way he did to entertain. Or maybe he was pleasantly disturbed and had a good laugh painting his judgment stories. Whatever his reasoning was, to me his paintings are brilliant to this day.
