A rare trip away from the East of England takes me to the wonderful Peak District, spending the day at Padley Gorge. Padley is renowned for its twisted oaks lining the valley above Burbage Brook. It really is a beautiful place. The day before my visit it had rained all day, therefore the brook was flowing very heavily and with the peaty soils, turns the water a coffee & creme flavour!
