What's up youtube! That's sure a lot to take in isn't it? Don't worry, I made a write up to as well! Tips and Tricks, part 1...that's right! More parts inbound! Enjoy!
1. Alchemy is a life saver, literly! It can keep you alive. Alcohest is great, it restores your beautiful creations using alchemy...ALL of it, for the cost of one alcohest. So make sure you've worn out your resources , before meditating for that easy HP top up!
2. To touch on alchemy again...USE it! They're going to be some difficult enemies, some of which may kill you over and over. One of your greatest tools is your alchemy. It'll give you the option of oils for increased damage, potions to increase your stats, and bombs that are paticularly effective against enemies!
3. As quick and efficent as fast travel is, you miss out on the game and sweet loot like hidden treasure and people offering sidequests! Take in the side, and go for a walk! Be sure to also check your map often as new spots always pop up!
4. Are you wanting to complete all the side quests? Make sure you do all that are available! Some story missions when advanced will automatically cancel out ongoing or possible side quests when completed!
5. Use your bestiary! It'll give you tips on weaknesses of different monsters, so when you're having an issue...check it out! You may be missing key strategy!
6. One of the many things I've followed in many RPG's, dismantle anything Yellow or higher! That means Master and Relic! Anythign else equipment wise, it's my personal opinion that you SELL it...Except for your Witcher gear, be sure you hold onto it for sweet upgrades!
7. All you Gwenters, having trouble getting new cards? Getting annhilated by damn monster cards who summon card after card after stupid fucking ghoul card!? God damnit!!!! Sorry, me too. But you know what will help? Every Gwent player you beat, you earn a card! So beat those easy people you walked by earlier in the game!
8. Make sure you buy all books, maps, recipes and cards you find in shops. There will be plenty of money to go around, so buy these to get the benefits that may be inside (Once you read them).
9. Try to have a plan for how you want to level up your skills. Look ahead, and find somethign that you think may suit your playstyle. If you're like me, I've always been a melee heavy character...but you know, I've found signs to be extremly helpful. So if you're curious and wanna live a little...try those signs!
10. How much do you wanna bet that Geralt is made of glass? Take a step off that 3 inch ledge...YOU DIED. Geralt can't handle heights, but rolling as you land can limit if not get rid of fall damage, within reason of course! So as Limp Bizkit once said, keep rollin rollin rollin.
11. Not using a certain mutagen? Use alchemy on them to make them better versions of themselves! Also, have you made sure to line up your skills so they're all in line? Example, red mutagen, with red skills = more effectiveness? It makes a huge difference!
