This is Part 2 of an attempt to compare the size of both Skyrim and The Witcher 3' maps by running from top to bottom on horseback.
This is by no means scientific in any way, the running speed of The Witcher 3's horse seems MUCH faster than Skyrim's horse, so this is just a flat out comparison of the time it takes in each game.
Also, I would like to point out that the Witcher 3 ALSO has The Skellige Islands as well as White Orcard that in addition to Velen are all a part of the main maps, in my opinion. So while I didn't add them here, if I had added the time it took to run across those and added that to the time it takes for Velen, it would be significantly longer I believe.
While Skyrim has Solstheim from the Dragonborn DLC as well as the area in the Dawnguard DLC, they are both DLCs, and should not in my opinion be counted as part of the main map.
Lastly, there is still a bit of map left in both Skyrim and The Witcher 3 that I did not run through do to water, or other obstacles that would have made the run take much longer.
