I found another new hobby! After watching a lot of Bob Ross "Joy of Painting" videos and attending 2 "paint and sip" sessions at Pinot's Palette, I decided to buy my own supplies and try painting one of my favorite childhood scenes - the willow trees in the field behind our neighborhood.
This was my first solo painting with no instructor or image to look at - just my memory. Sadly, the path is completely overgrown and the willow trees are gone - but now they will live on, on my wall!
The canvas is a bit rough, and my technique is very beginner. I think I picked a subject and perspective with way too fine detail. But I'm super happy with how it turned out.
The song you hear is Maria Taylor's "Song Beneath the Song," which was playing while I painted.
