Knowing Poetry with Timothy E. G. Bartel | The Wild Prosody of "Paul Revere's Ride" @timothye.g.bartel9829 | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 9 minutes ago.
The opening lines of Longfellow's Paul Revere's Ride is a good case study in wild variants of prosody.

Note: Paul Revere's Ride was written in 1860 and appeared in the January 1861 issue of the Atlantic Monthly. It was later republished as the opening poem in Longfellow's Tales of A Wayside Inn (1863).
