A process video showing me create an art journal page for Nathalie's Creative Squad using Hugo Simberg's "Kuoleman puutarha" as inspiration. The monthly theme of Nathalie's Creative Squad this month is "Favorite art my way".
If you want to jump directly to the start of the process without the introduction, it's 1:08. I start by stamping some white motifs to a piece of black cardstock. These I will later on turn into skeleton hands and a skull for my character. I use a gel plate to add color to my background and then use two stencils to add some visual interest in there. I cut robe parts for my character and paint them using acrylic paints. I doodle outlines and detais with a pencil and some watercolor pens and finally put the elements together. As a finishing touch I add a die cut saying and some paint marker doodling.
