"I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself" (Songwriters: Hal David / Burt Bacharach) is a track off of 'Elephant' - the fourth studio album by American rock duo The White Stripes. It was released on April 1, 2003, through V2, XL, and Third Man.
Lyrics
Just don't know what to do with myself
I don't know what to do with myself
Planning everything for two
Doing everything with you
And now that were through
I just don't know what to do
I just don't know what to do with myself
I don't know what to do with myself
Movies only make me sad
Parties make me feel as bad
Cause I'm not with you
I just don't know what to do
Like a summer rose
Needs the sun and rain
I need your sweet love
To beat love away
Well I don't know what to do with myself
Just don't know what to do with myself
Planning everything for two
Doing everything with you
And now that were through
I just don't know what to do
Like a summer rose
Needs the sun and rain
I need your sweet love
To beat love away
I just don't know what to do with myself
Just don't know what to do with myself
Just don't know what to do with myself
I don't know what to do with myself

![Nat King Cole Smile (1954)
Smile is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for Charlie Chaplins 1936 movie Modern Times. Chaplin composed the music, inspired by Puccinis Tosca. John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954. In the lyrics, based on lines and themes from the film, the singer is telling the listener to cheer up and that there is always a bright tomorrow, just as long as they smile. Smile has become a popular standard since its original use in Chaplins film.
Nat King Cole recorded the first version with lyrics, on the album Ballads Of The Day. It charted in 1954, reaching number 10 on the Billboard charts and number 2 on the UK Singles Chart.
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
Youll see the sun come shining through for you
[Verse 2]
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
