For years, my husband Donnie handled everything related to our family’s finances by himself. 💰
He is an incredibly smart and responsible guy, and he did a great job! 📊
But by avoiding everything money related, I was putting the full burden of our family’s finances on his shoulders AND I was keeping myself in the dark, which could have been disastrous if anything had happened to him. 💞
A few years ago, I stepped up and began managing the budget side of our finances. We started touching base each week about where we stand with our spending and accounts. And we meet once a month to look at our net worth and review our goals and strategy. 🤓
Working on the finances together has made a WORLD of difference! 💪 We can make smarter money decisions together and both have a better idea of exactly where we are and where we want to head in the future. 🥳
And rather than feeling scared and overwhelmed by our finances, I actually look forward to tracking the budget and have fun doing it, which is still absolutely wild to me! 💗
