"The Rise" is the opening track off the debut full-length studio album, Chains of Plato, from Swedish death metal supergroup The Weakening. The Weakening is a five-piece band from Gothenburg, Sweden. They play metal, the groovy and percussive kind. Their musical goal is to combine polyrhytmic brutality with groove. With lyrics critical against today's society, this turns to a cleansing mixture of aggression and enlightment.
