ℹ️ Sometimes on a pilgrimage, plans change—and this day definitely did. After skipping ahead from Spoleto to Macenano, we set out on a 13 km walk toward Piediluco… but not before hopping on a bus to Arrone—officially one of Italy’s most beautiful villages.
From there, the day turns into a mix of smooth paths, unexpected moments, and classic Italy travel chaos (yes… we’re talking about the buses again). Along the way, we visit the incredible Marmore Falls—the tallest man-made waterfall in Europe—and try to figure out if we actually understand how transportation works here (jury’s still out).
We end the day in Piediluco with a tour of our lake house for the night… but there’s one big question: what exactly is the sleeping situation?
