Episode 382:
ℹ️ This stretch from Trevi to Poreta might not look like much on paper—but it delivers everything we’ve come to expect from the Via di Francesco: rolling hills, quiet gravel paths, endless olive groves, and enough elevation to keep things interesting.
Midway through the day, we make a peaceful stop at the Eremo di Francesco—a place that naturally slows you down and invites reflection, whether you planned for it or not.
What we didn’t plan? Lunch.
Turns out, “we’ll find something along the way” is not a solid strategy out here. So we keep walking… a little hungrier, a little more aware that eating when you can is less of a suggestion and more of a rule.
But just when we’re running low on energy, we get an unexpected surprise ride into Poreta—one of those perfectly-timed moments of kindness that reminds you what this journey is really about.
We arrive tired, dusty, definitely hungry—but grateful. Another day closer to Rome.
