“The Water Will Carry Me Home:” This is a song I wrote a few years back- one of the first “parts songs” I ever wrote. This one is all about our ancient relationship to water, and our right to return to the natural world when we die. We have a right for the earth to reclaim us again, to let us go back into the elements without the impediment of coffins or concrete…the water wants us back.
