In the last years of the 20th century people, companies and governments were pitching into what were called the Millennium celebrations, a series of events around the world to say farewell to 1999 and usher in the year 2000. Disney was no exception and in Orlando, Florida, Walt Disney World had their own plans to join the millennium celebration and what better place to put it than in the park that celebrates the many achievements of cultures and humanity, Epcot.
