Every week across the United States, a mysterious new Waffle House location will suddenly appear in a random town overnight. It appears no different to any other Waffle House location and will generally go unnoticed, as if it has always been there.
Marshal Turner had lived in Summerport his entire life, you would assume he would remember that his hometown did not have a Waffle House. He had no memory of the fact this Waffle House did not previously exist. He had no way of telling that this was not just a normal Waffle House, this was THE Waffle House, the mysterious and deadly memory-wiping entity that the various state & county governments were warning people about.
The Waffle House has found it's new host, and that host is Summerport, Shark Island County, Florida.
Fun fact! The fictional town of Summerport comes from a short story I wrote waaaaaaay back in like 2015, but it was cringe and not very good. Shark Island was an actual island off the coast of Florida and the story itself was just... some furries hanging out I guess? But there was this added thing where all the animals in this world would sometimes have random limbs and stuff fall off and there was like glue n stuff sold in shops that they could use to reattach them with, and then in the end there was a huge tonal shift as it was revealed that all the furries were the product of genetic experimentation and the humans who made them died out and that was the end.
Of course, this is no longer the case lmao. Calamity, Skylar, and Marshal are just pizza delivery guys now.
