This is my 8th attempt at posting this video... a.k.a. The Mistreatment of Suzie Toot.
It is very clear what RuPaul's Drag Race is trying to do. In the last couple of episodes of season 17, Suzie Toot was correct in her reads on and advice to other queens' challenge performances. However, she was presented as mean, overbearing and condescending, which she was not. In the episodes when Suzie does well, she is shown as a villain. In a cast of queens that created their personalities and aesthetics on TikTok, Suzie comes in as a BenDeLaCreme type of a queen – well rounded, with a character in drag and a specific aesthetic that’s different to what is popular now, and therefore the majority of the queens, and as an extension of that, the fans, will see her as having a bad aesthetic, which is just not true.
