Warning: This one is horror-themed and contains blood and gore.
On the cursed eve of the 31st of Oleidus, during the infernal celebration known as Demontide, the arcane cult of The Unseen Order performs their most dreaded rite: The Collection. The severed body parts that remain, left discarded upon the forest floor, are gathered by the cultists for a ghastly feast. Boiled and stewed in the blood of their victims, this foul concoction, known only as Demontide Slop, sustains the cult.

Happy Demontide Everyone!
DEMONTIDE SLOP
Ingredients:
3 lbs. Ground Beef
2-3 tubes Beef Chorizo
2 medium Yellow Onions
1-2 cups Hatch Chiles, chopped
1 cup Roasted Red Bell Peppers, chopped
5 cloves Garlic, minced
1 14 oz. Diced Tomatoes
3 tbsp. Tomato Paste
2 tbsp. Chili Powder
2 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Epazote
2 14 oz. cans Black & Pinto Chili Beans
1 package Little Smokies Kielbasa (with added onion nails)
Salt to taste Garnish: Cilantro, Green Onions, Roasted serrano peppers (these are hot)
Instructions
1. In a cauldron or large pot over medium heat, brown the ground
beef until the flesh is fully seared. Add chorizo, diced onions,
hatch chiles, roasted red bell peppers, crushed garlic, diced tomatoes,
a dollop of tomato paste, and a macabre blend of chili powder, cumin,
and epazote. Add beans and stir the concoction as it bubbles, simmering
over low heat for a minimum of one hour. Optional: Transfer to
a slow-cooking crockpot and let it fester on low for 5 hours.
2. Prepare the severed toes by slicing a wedge from each little smoky
sausage to create a nail bed for the onion nails. Slice thin,
rectangular pieces of onion to fit in the nail bed. Secure the
longer pieces of onion by pressing them into the meat for a firm hold.
3. Use a paring knife to carve shallow creases into each sausage,
mimicking the gnarled folds of grotesque toes. Place these ghastly
creations on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
4. Summon the broilerโs flames and place the severed toes beneath its
infernal heat for 2 minutes, just enough to cause the creases to split
and the onions to take on a faint, ghostly glow. Some nails may loosen
in the process but fear notโreposition them once out of the broiler.
5. About 10 minutes before serving, press the severed sausage toes into the bubbling chili cauldron, allowing them to heat through and rise to the
surface. Garnish with fresh green onions for a final, unsettling touch.
