Station platform views, lineside views, rides inside the trains, and more. Also seen are some Flyer trolleybuses and motor buses - including one that has 'vintage trolley' style bodywork..
The SkyTrain is an fully automated GoA4 unattended (ie: the trains are unstaffed) urban metro with a mix of at-grade, elevated and underground (subway) operation.
Nowadays Vancouver has several 'SkyTrain' lines (routes) and what I filmed is known as the Expo line. But in 1993 there was just this one line and it was simply called 'SkyTrain' - as seen on the sign next to a bus stop outside Granville station.
1993 footage was filmed with a Hitachi S83 S-VHS-C camcorder and 1986 footage was filmed using a silent super 8 film camera. 35mm still images come from a mix of Kodachrome, Fujichrome and an unknown brand of somewhat grainy 1000 ASA slide / transparancy films.
