On over 400 acres of woodlands on the Catawba River, the Whitewater Center is an outdoor facility dedicated to promoting healthy and active lifestyles and developing environmental stewardship through 16 different activities including whitewater rafting; kayaking; rock climbing; ropes courses; and biking, hiking, and running trails. It is home to the worlds's largest artificial whitewater course and an official Olympic Training Site and hosts a variety of international competitions; trail races; and music, food, and beer festivals.
