The love, music and laughter of young people is a welcome boost for Sharon as she carries the heavy load of caregiver for a spouse with dementia.
Sharon and Bob Foreman live in the river city of North Battleford in Saskatchewan. In 2017 Bob was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia, a rare neurological form of dementia. He requires increasing care and support, and and his confusion affects his ability to dress and shave himself and participate in a variety of activities.
Sharon is forever grateful for her daughter Erin and for adult grandchildren who all brighten their lives. Erin says people have made the difference throughout Bob’s progressive challenges including friends, family and those folks who conduct a day program a few hours a week.
