Here's a virtual movie of a recitation by a wounded soldier of the poem "The Unreturning" by the World War 1 poet Wilfred Owen. The Poem speaks of the of the shock of losing comrades in battle and the demoralisation of war and the shattered mind of a soldier looking for ghosts of his fallen comrades only to find the gates of supposed heaven closed. Wilfred Owen had worked for 5 years for a clergyman,but by all accounts of his life he had never found much consolation in religion.
