In 2008 a fire on Universal Studios Hollywood property made headlines but the full story wouldn't be revealed until years later. Now the truth is that countless archived original master tapes were in fact destroyed and Universal withheld/downplayed this information from the artists and the public. This could now be one of the largest tragedies in recent music history due to the staggering amount of loss of art.
