The ultimate M code trick for calculated columns #powerquery #microsoftexcel #tutorial  @GoodlyChandeep

In Power Query, you don’t always need to create custom columns one by one.

In this video, I’ll show you a simple M trick using records to create multiple calculated columns in a single step.

We’ll take a basic sales table and create:

- Sales value using Units × Price
- Commission using 10% of Sales

Instead of adding one custom column for Sales and another for Commission, we’ll define both calculations inside a record, expand it, and get both columns together.

This is especially useful when you need to create 3, 4, 5 or more calculated columns in Power Query and want to keep your steps cleaner.
