Pump/Valve Style Markers
Great for:
Large projects that demand a faster ink flow. *Some, like the Hanauma and Mauna Kea, are refillable!
Rough surfaces because the nibs are more durable.
Projects where you need the most opaque coverage.
Keep in mind:
These markers must be activated before initial use, which takes time and may be uncomfortable for people with hand strength issues.
Hard nibs are more likely to pill paper. *If you want a brush-style valve marker, try the Waikiki set.

If you want a brush-like experience without the mess.

Folks with arthritis or hand strength issues who would have a hard time with other acrylic marker options.
Occasional users.
Keep in mind:
Because the ink in these markers is suspended in a cotton felt, the formula is thinner and will be less opaque than the other markers that require shaking.
