We left the city behind and headed into the mountains — just me, my dog Joey, and a quiet weekend in Germany’s highlands. 🐕⛰️

This trip to Winterberg was about slowing down, breathing deeper, and letting the trails do their thing. On day one, we hiked the iconic Kahler Asten, moving through forests, open ridges, and wide mountain views that felt far more remote than expected. On day two, we explored Winterberg town and the surrounding region, discovering peaceful paths, small moments, and that calm you only find when you stop rushing.

No big goals.
No ticking boxes.
Just hiking, wandering, and being present.
