In this video I will give you an in depth overview of how you can get a convincing film look for your videos, covering the cameras, lenses, filters and software you can use to get closer to a filmic look. I've shot more than 1000 rolls of film because I love the way it looks and of course I want a more filmic look for my videos too. These are my solutions.

I stick these filters on vintage lenses too if they don't have enough glow already. Favourite combo: Sigma Super-wide II 24mm f/2.8 and 1/8 filter. No filter on my Helios because that glows almost too much already. And I use a 1/4 filter for my modern autofocus lens. Don't buy filters of different sizes if your lenses have different diameters, use step up rings instead! For vintage lenses I use a 58mm filter and step up rings to that size. For my Panasonic autofocus lenses it's a 67mm filter since most Panasonic lenses have the exact same size. Check the diameters of your lenses carefully and choose the biggest lens diameter you own for your filters, but don't make them too big or they will be awkward to handle. I wouldn't use a 67mm filter on a lens with a 43mm thread, 58mm is a better choice if your vintage lenses are small like that.
