Few weeks ago I wanted to take my eScooters LiIon pack and use it for "field charging". The pack says 360Wh - which sounds plenty.
Got me a volt stepdown from its 36v down to 12v (as input to my little ISDT 608ac charger).

Only one problem: these cheap escooters have shitty LiIon packs and don't reach the advertised capacity. I only got around 150Wh of charging (so with some loss into heat) - and that's not really enough :)

2nd attempt - let's go serious with the battery pack! Checked various options (see my excel file: http://bit.ly/3nLdi88) and decided to go with a TATTU 26Ah 6S pack. These are normally around 500-600$ - but I got a "used" one as a deal. It's in perfect condition! The only issue with the Tattu was a weird connector.
Now the approach is simpler and sadly didn't even need a 3d printed part :) Re-used the freewellgear pelican style box and cut some inlay foam to suit the fat LIPO and have storage for charger and cables.
The little 1800mah 4cell Lipo is 3yrs and 3month old :)
