AOPA Pilot’s Dave Hirschman flies CubCrafters’ new Carbon Cub ULT in Yakima, Washington. Powered by the Turbotech TP-R90 regenerative turboprop, the ULT is designed to bring turbine smoothness, Jet-A capability, FADEC simplicity, and piston-like fuel burn to a backcountry Cub.
