This is the animated book trailer promo that I did for Walker Books. :) Cool experience? YES.
When I made my first Tygrine Cat video, my Tygrine King Intro, on a whim, I decided to email the author, Inbali Iserles. You know, say Hi, I'm a fan, I'm making this animation.
Then, to my amazement, she emailed back! She had seen the video, LOVED IT, talked to her publishers, and asked me to animate a promotional video for them to promote the upcoming sequel, The Tygrine Cat on the Run.
O.o I have to say, I was on cloud 9 for about a week. :)
This took half a year of work, although of concerted effort, sitting at my computer animating, it took about three months or so. I did it the slow way, with Photoshop and Movie Maker. I am extremely pleased with it. And, because of all this, the author and I are friends now. She's excitedly awaiting my series when it comes out. :)
The credits are at the end, of course. It's all original, except that the books belong to Inbali Iserles, of course. Music by Aviv Stein. Voice by Geraldine Brennan, the one snarling cat's growl by me. ;)
The design of the characters is also the design I'll use for my animated series, whose title I am changing back to just The Tygrine Cat. Some of the characters featured in this video are secret, from the upcoming book, but the ones here that will be in my animation are (in order of appearance)
Mati
Pangur
Binjax
Ria
Mithos
Suzerain
Te Bubas
Hanratty
Jess
The Tygrine Queen

This is my part for Sad-Machines Christmas Warrior cats MAP. Which, such a beautiful aesthetic and fun idea, and its been such a fun group of animators and artists to work with!! Ive had an absolute blast, and cant wait to see everyone elses parts.
Its a little wonky here and there, but overall Im pleased with my efforts in animating a cat run cycle from this angle.

A Winnie-the-Pooh styled Mousefur and Longtail, being best buds and enjoying a lovely day together.

I tried some new things with this one - if its not obvious, I put my emphasis on character designs and especially on background painting for this part, rather than animation. :) The MAP doesnt have a specific style guide, so Sad-Machine was kind enough to let me experiment! And for a MAP about friendship, something in the style of Winnie-the-Pooh seemed like a match made in heaven. (Plus I fell in love with the idea of Longtail with missing button eyes and a knotted rope tail.) Mimicking the style of inking and watercolor paint from Winnie-the-Pooh turned out to be a lot of fun as well, and Im really happy with that tree!
Big thanks to @frostewyrm - I had to finish this video yesterday due to other commitments, but was feeling like I was hit by a truck and barely able to draw or paint. Froste very kindly hopped in to finish up the coloring on the characters for me. Absolutely saved my life and this part.
