Twilight Zone analysis comparing one of my favorite episodes with Rick and Morty. The episode, 5 Characters in Search of an Exit is rife with references to religion and God. While it's clearly inspired by absurdist works and philosophy, it also tries to reaffirm the idea that there is some order to the universe, that our lives do have meaning. I think the closest relative to this episode is the show Rick and Morty.
