Working from home is the dream. Build the business. Work in your own space. Answer to no one. And honestly, a lot of that is true. I am grateful every single day for the freedom I have built. I would not trade it.

But here is the part nobody warns you about.

Working from home alone all the time is not good for your mental health. I am a 3/5 generator in human design, an Aries, an extrovert, someone whose energy loves being around other people. When I am behind my desk for long periods of time I feel flat.

So I have learned the dream is not the whole answer.

The freedom is one half. Getting out is the other. Being around other powerful female entrepreneurs who are also mothers leading at home and leading in their business, that energy is contagious.

This lunch did more for my clarity than a week alone ever could.

You can love the life you have built and still need more than your own four walls. Both things are true. The freedom is a gift. The people are the medicine.

Be honest. Do you agree, or do you love working alone from home?
