Additional info:
When using the included 3.5mm cable or a proper TRRS 3.5mm cable (supports mic signal) the mic does not work ie. the mic on the XM4s is disabled in wired mode.
Just a PSA for anyone planning on getting these for the primary purpose of video conferencing or gaming, audio quality is severely degraded when the mics are in use.
This is not a unique XM4 problem, it's a Bluetooth problem. When two way audio is requested Bluetooth switches to a different (SCO) codec which limits the quality.
