The Menendez Brothers was one of the first high-profile, televised cases in the 90s that used prolonged abuse as a defense for murder. It took the nation by storm at the time. Now, the case is getting renewed attention, for better or worse, since the release of the Netflix original series “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.” The first season, which was centered around Jeffrey Dahmer, was controversial, to say the least. Would this season suffer from the same issues? Yes. Today, we will be getting into the show, its creator- Ryan Murphy, and the internet’s reaction following its release.
