The CD booklet tells about how The Trebevic Choir performed this piece in the winter of 1994 at the Sarajevo Cathedral in Sarajevo, now the capital of the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The area was being ravaged by violent warfare at the time, the region struggling for independence, as this choir sung. French producer Jean-Yves Labatte, the one who recorded this piece at that dangerous time, comments that many of the choir members have since "disappeared", presumably lost in the war.
