The war for Cybertron reaches a breaking point as the planet's energy reserves run dry. Searching for salvation, Optimus Prime and the Autobots board the Ark to find new resources in deep space, only to be ambushed by Megatron's Decepticon forces. A brutal boarding action sends the damaged ship plunging into prehistoric Earth. Immobilized for four million years, the ancient combatants are suddenly reactivated by a volcanic eruption in 1984, reigniting their devastating conflict on an unsuspecting alien world.
