Despite installing three new boards (Digital Control, VCO and RF Translator Board) The TR-7 did not receive signals nor display the correct frequency. In a bold move I removed the VCO board from the board cage and using an external RF Generator injected the frequency needed for decoding 7.255 MHz. This vide is the proof.
This test did two things those being to show the TR-7 can receive and secondly that there are problems with the internal frequency generation.
A subsequent test may be to use this setup to see if the TR-7 can transmit with the low-level stages.
When you know stuff, you can do stuff. Those that complain lack the knack!
