If you're looking to start an Amazon FBA business and you've been doing product research for a while trying to find that golden product, this video will surely help you.
Remember the following points to maximize your chances of success with your first product on Amazon.
First, don't copy and paste an existing product - make sure to improve it in some way to add extra value to your target audience. You need some sort of edge over the more-established competition that's out there. Even one small improvement is enough to do this!
Second, make sure there is a good profit margin of at least 40% after all unit costs, shipping fees and Amazon fees. If this means you need to mark your product at at more 'premium' price, you need to make sure your product and the branding is completely aligned in quality!
Third - do NOT invest in products that are short term or are fads/quickly dying trends. It's better to put your money and time into a product that will successfully sell for years to come. As a general rule of thumb, you should be looking ahead even when you're planning out your first product - can you add other compatible products or upsells down the line? Is this something you can create a brand out of that adds true value to people's lives?
