This VR game is a time machine. You don't get to choose where you go. When you pull the lever you are taken somewhere random.
You receive a date telling you where you are in time and the doors open. There's no way of predicting where you'll end up.
You can't leave the time machine - you can stick your head out, but be warned sometimes you might not want to.
