About 20 years ago Kawasaki made a motorcycle called the Drifter 1500. This bike was modelled after the Indian Motorcycles. Indian was out of business and Kawasaki decided they were going to make their own Indian motorcycle!

A couple years after making the Drifter 1500, Kawasaki made the Drifter 800.
