On Friday, March 3 at 3:00 pm, join Ontario Greens leader Mike Schreiner for a live conversation with Dr. Ryan Norris about the fauna and flora that inhabit the Greenbelt and what we will lose if we fail to protect that biodiversity.
Ryan Norris is a Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph. His award-winning research over the past two decades has focused on the ecology and conservation of animal populations, many of which are endangered or threatened. In addition to his extensive work on threatened monarch butterflies over the past 15 years, he leads two long-term bird studies that predate his existence as an ecologist: a 35-yr study of migratory Savannah sparrows breeding on Kent Island in the Bay of Funny and a 55-yr study of Canada Jays in Algonquin Park.
