Set after the events of the 1982 John Carpenter movie, The Thing: Remastered focuses on Captain Blake, a member of a United States Army Special Forces team sent to the infamous Outpost 31st and the Norweigan Camp from which the Thing initially escaped. Part of an investigation by U.S. Special Forces, it doesn’t take long for them to discover that the Thing is still on the loose and may have already infiltrated their ranks. The more Blake investigates the dark realities of a looming conspiracy, the more paranoia grows among his team, and the more dangerous the extraterrestrial threat becomes as it spreads, forcing the captain to face it head-on before it threatens to change the hideous face of biological warfare forever.
